Symposium Advances in Imaging and AI for Energy Technologies
We are pleased to invite you to the upcoming hybrid symposium “Advances in Imaging and AI for Energy Technologies” hosted by CASA-SDL-EM (Centre for Advanced Simulation and Analytics – Simulation Data Lab for Energy Materials) and the German-Canadian Materials Acceleration Centre (GCMAC). The symposium is open (free of charge) for anyone interested in attending. In order to be able to plan the meeting logistics (coffee breaks, lunch), we would like to kindly ask you to please register at the following link: Register here via Eventbrite
Event Details
- Date: March 21, 2025
- Time: 12:00 PM – 4:15 PM
- Location: Lecture Room, Central Library, Forschungszentrum Jülich or Online
- Registration: Register here via Eventbrite
The goal of the symposium is to initiate discussion and foster collaboration among experts in imaging and AI and those in the energy materials and technology field in FZJ (and beyond). The program will feature a mix of talks on modern methods in imaging and AI and on the the latest advances in data management as well as research presentations related to the energy technology field.
Key topics to be covered include:
- Advanced Imaging Techniques:
Explore innovations in microscopy, tomography, and real-time imaging applications that are pushing the boundaries of what we can observe—from the atomic scale to the macroscopic. - AI and Computer Vision Breakthroughs:
Discover state-of-the-art machine learning algorithms and deep learning approaches that are revolutionizing data analysis and interpretation in both scientific and industrial applications. - Interdisciplinary Applications:
Learn how the fusion of imaging and AI is transforming diverse areas, from materials science and medical diagnostics to environmental monitoring and beyond. - Data Integration and Management:
Address the challenges of managing and standardizing vast amounts of imaging data with ontology-based solutions and innovative data integration techniques. - Fresh perspectives on AI to drive advances at the cross-section of imaging and energy technologies:
Engage in discussions on the emerging role of large vision models and the potential impact of next-generation AI technologies on scientific research.
Bring your own poster to the poster session to network and show to the community your own research or challenges in the field of imaging, AI, and data management.
We hope you can join us for a day filled with stimulating ideas, valuable networking, and inspiring discussions. If you have any questions or need further information, please feel free to reply to this email.
