GCMAC and EUMACE will be hosting a hybrid workshop focusing on introducing the Technology Development Matrix approach.

To accelerate the deployment of new clean energy technologies, it is essential that researchers identify and address the right issues associated with their synthesis and processing to ensure they are competitive with existing technologies currently on the market today.

To that end, a Technology Development Matrix is an assessment tool to evaluate a new technology (material, component, and/or device) based on properties and performance to identify gaps in the technology performance, as compared to market solutions.

GCMAC and EUMACE will be hosting a hybrid workshop on 6 March 2025 focusing on introducing the TDM approach to the broader community and presenting initial results from a previous TDM workshop for the GCMAC/EUMACE research community (focusing on materials classes such as non-PFAS materials), and relevant interested industrial partners.

This event will feature guest speakers including Dr. Christoph Kreisbeck, founder of Aixelo Inc., Dr. Ryan Baker, Research Officer at the National Research Council Canada, and Dr. Kourosh Malek, Head of Division : Artificial Materials Intelligence, Forschungszentrum Juelich and GCMAC program manager.

An in-person only working session will be held on 7 March 2025, focused on continuing the work on the EUMACE TDM assessments.
